Kortney started her leasing career in 2003 and as her knowledge in the industry grew, she found a way to improve on customer service. This is when she decided to build a company around partnering with her clients.
Coastal Kapital was founded on the niche of “true customer service” That is why the motto is “Financing You Can Trust”. Coastal Kapital set the company’s par high above the average financial institutions by understanding their client’s business model and expansion plans, so they can assist their clients over the life of the business.
Kortney moved to Boston to teach a leasing course where she wrote and taught a training manual on how to run a successful business in equipment financing as a broker. And she is now empowering other women to build their dreams. It was a pleasure to have her on The Rhonda Swan Show.

Kortney started her leasing career in 2003. As her knowledge in the industry grew, she found a way to improve on customer service. This is when she decided to build a company around partnering with her clients, this allowed repeat business as well as lower default rates. Coastal Kapital is currently opening a new office and creating space for multiple positions in the financing space.
She moved to Boston to teach a leasing course where she wrote and taught a training manual on how to run a successful business in equipment financing as a broker. Kortney graduated from Northwood University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an associate degree in Advertising. Throughout college she coached Cheerleading at Dow High school for the JV teams taking them up to a 1st and 2nd place team for competitive cheer.
Prior to working in the finance industry Kortney owned a clothing boutique in San Diego “Kaos By Kortney”. Kortney knows firsthand what it takes to run a small business, which allows her to relate to the financial needs of her clients. She was in mortgage and heavy equipment sales to mold her sales experience prior to starting in her “lifelong” career.

Kortney has become a big part of the Sarasota, Florida community through local charity work, Chamber of Commerce programs, participation in helping various local community projects. She has been nominated for the 2022 board of AACFB (American Association of Equipment Finance Brokers).
